The Pag-IBIG Fund Multi-Purpose Loan or MPL is a cash loan designed to help our members with any immediate financial need. A member can borrow up to 80% of their Pag-IBIG Regular Savings, and can be processed in as fast as 2 days.

The Pag-IBIG MPL can be used for any of the following purposes:

  • Medical expenses
  • Minor home improvement
  • Capital for a small business
  • Tuition fee and other education-related expenses
  • Purchase of furniture, appliances or electronic gadgets
  • Payment of utility and credit card bills
  • Vacation and travel
  • Special events
  • Car repair
  • Other necessary needs

In order to qualify for the MPL or the multi-purpose loan, you must possess the following:

  • At least twenty-four monthly membership savings under the Pag-IBIG Regular Savings program
  • An active membership by having at least one monthly membership savings within the last six months prior to the date of loan application
  • If with an existing Pag-IBIG Housing Loan, MPL and/or Calamity Loan, the account/s must not be in default and proof of income must be presented.


The company, among other companies, has applied and implemented the usage of the Pag-IBIG loan or MPL for the employees who wish to avail of the said loan. This loan fully aims to help employees who immediately need cash assistance given that they are qualified in availing the said loan.

Here is the step-by-step guide in how to apply for the Pag-IBIG loan online:

1. Before getting started, the employee must make sure that he/she has prepared the following:


  • Loan Application Form – A clear photo or a scanned copy of your loan application form containing the required information (completed with the accurate details needed), the signature of the employee, the signature of your employer (for the company, it is Ivy Gay Mabayag/the Corporate Secretary of the CEO) and the signature of two witnesses. These witnesses can be a family member or an officemate.


  • 1 Valid ID – A photocopy or a scanned copy of one of the employee’s valid IDs. A valid ID can be: passport, driver’s license, PRC ID, NBI clearance, police clearance, postal ID, voter’s ID, barangay certification, GSIS e-card, UMID ID, and Pag-IBIG loyalty card.


  • Cash Card – The cash card can be: The Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus issued by Asia United Bank (AUB) or Union Bank of the Philippines, or the LandBank of the Philippines (LBP) or United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) Cash Card.


  • Selfie photo – It is important to provide a selfie photo showing your ID Card and cash card for legitimacy and confirmation that you really own the ID and the cash card.


2. In your browser, type in this link that will take you to the Pag-IBIG portal: https://www.pagibigfundservices.com/virtualpagibig_profile/Verification/..


3. From there, click the virtual Pag-IBIG button and then from the drop-down menu, select apply for a short-term loan.


4. Once there, there is a prompt that will let you select different loan types. Choose the loan type of your preference and input your personal MID number. The personal MID number is a unique 12- digit number series assigned to a registered member. After inputting your MID number, you will then click the validate your MID button to corroborate your typed in number.



5. Fill up the given fields below with the accurate data corresponding to every item and click next.



6. Upon clicking next, there will be a pop-up message that says that the OTP or one-time password is sent through the mobile number you have provided.

Click ok on the message and as soon as you do, you will receive the OTP sent by Pag-IBIG.



7. Type in the OTP provided in the field designated for the OTP and click the proceed button.



8. The next thing to be done is to select the cash card to be used from the drop-down menu. The cash card can be The Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus issued by Asia United Bank (AUB) or Union Bank of the Philippines, or the LandBank of the Philippines (LBP) or United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) Cash Card, depending on what you have.



9. Scan your filled up application form, valid ID, and selfie photo holding your valid ID and cash card to be uploaded on the portal.


10. After scanning, upload the given requirements one by one by clicking the upload photo on every field.



11. When done, click ok to proceed to the next step.



12. The successful applicant will receive a loan reference number that can be used to check the status of the loan.
